My Poetry Book

by PoeticJustice   Feb 9, 2007

A true friend, the most trustworthy friend indeed
My poetry book is my everything, and everything I need
No point in risking my trust in you, or you, or him or her
My secretes are kept in my poems so I don’t have to suffer
And although you may read them, you will never know the lies
My poems are all trustworthy, they are masters of disguise
You will never notice, the truth they really hold
The comfort Ive received, from the secrets I have told
Never to betray me, my words on paper are my soul
They keep me going when im down and motivate me to my goals
My poetry book, with pages made of truth, tears, and heart
Its bound by a hard wired trust that will never fall apart
There to pick up my fallen pieces and tears when im in need
A true friend, the most trustworthy friend indeed.

Wow, this piece is very powerful! I can relate to every line, it's written so honestly and it's very deep.
The choice of words in the poem is great, too.
