The Grim Reaper

by broken reflection   Feb 9, 2007

Laying there the man in black comes 'round,
Many souls fierce and tired he has found,
Breaking sound and light he does his duty,
Maybe tomorrow he will come for me,

His robe drapes past the future,
Maybe he will relieve what is pain,
Perhaps the man is my sun, sky, cloud and rain,
He's unknown but known to cause a stir,

Empty eyes seem so kind,
His heart is nothing but comfort he'll provide,
Love he knows not but is our destination,
Such an important man faces so much discrimination,

Time is only his key,
He's no joke nor legend but a mystery,
The man in black is not our fear,
But only the journey will make you tear,

Support after life,
Guide once dead,

He is known as death,
But is only god's passing breath
