Surviving These Feelings

Seems only yesterday
You were right by my side
Guiding me through life
Comforting me when I cried

Seems only yesterday
You chased away my fears
Making me stand tall
And catching my falling tears.

Seems only yesterday
We promised 'always and forever
No matter what happens
We'll always be together.'

I thought I was doing quite well
Without you being around
But I'm drowning in memories
I'm suddenly so down.

I thought that I had moved on
Seems I haven't finished healing
So I'll continue to mask my pain
While I'm surviving these feelings.
