Sever The Ties That Bind

by Some Random Human   Feb 9, 2007

I'm dying inside,
the pain that I hide,
is attacking my mind,
I'm living for you,
trying to prove,
that I'm worthy of your time,
you're looking at me,
I'm trying to see,
if this is reality,
but I can't tell,
Heaven from Hell,
just another fatality,

I hear a sound, I turn around,
as my heart hits the ground,
this pain that I've found,
can't be rewound,
by these chains I am bound,

I just looked in your eyes,
and I saw through your lies,
should I even bother to try,
it's never enough,
imaginary love,
with broken wings I'll never fly,
but I will not bend,
this isn't the end,
my broken heart is bound to mend,
so you can just leave,
I will not grieve,
there's nothing left to defend,

I hear a sound, I turn around,
as my heart hits the ground,
this pain that I've found,
can't be rewound,
by these chains I am bound,

Now that you're gone,
I can move on,
a new day will surely dawn,
so now I'm through,
through with you,
you can pick your stuff up off my lawn,
now don't you cry,
when I say goodbye,
and never ever ask me why,
because it's your fault,
that we came to a halt,
so wipe your eyes dry,

I hear a sound, I turn around,
as my heart hits the ground,
this pain that I've found,
can be rewound,
by these chains I'm no longer bound...
