Voices in the Dark

Why did you leave me here?
You know I hate the dark
I hear strange sounds
Did something just bark?

My heart is racing
I can hear every beat
I think it's getting louder
I just want to scream

I start to hear voices
They're calling my name
They tell me it's my fault
I'm the one to blame

The voices keep talking
Horrid things are being said
They're telling me i'm worthless
That I deserve to be dead

I'm fighting so hard
But the voices won't quit
I don't want to believe them
But i'm starting to submit

I'm now chanting with them
I believe everything they say
They have all control now
I'm far too lost to be saved

Will I always be like this?
Will the voices ever go away?
Will I ever escape the dark?
Or am I here to stay?
