Trusting You

My heart is yours for the taking
If you choose to accept my offer
I am trusting you to be the keeper of my soul
And the protector of my heart
I have fallen hard for you
I've only known you for a short while
Yet I feel as though we can learn much from each other
Your voice slides over me like a warm blanket
And your smile melts my thoughts
Those gorgeous eyes literally take my breath away
I feel myself becoming more and more attached to you with each word spoken between us
I trust you and I know we could be great together
But will you take that risk?

To treat me with respect and love
And to hold me when I'm hurt
