This Girl

by Cathy   Feb 12, 2007

People always told her she was pretty
guys always said she was kind of needy
but she didn't approve of what people said
she knew the truth inside her own head

Yes she was pretty but was also smart
she wasn't needy, she just wanted the emptiness to fill in her heart
She didn't listen to the rumors that when around
because she didn't care much of what people said around town

She was the type of girl, smart but sweet
didn't care about nice clothes or the shoes on her feet
she wasn't the type of person who thought she was better
And if anyone wants to know the truths in her letters

She tried to be kind and treat people with respect
but in this old town her presence the people would not accept
So everyday that passed she mind herself
but people still talked about her health

Whispered mean cruel words as if she didn't hear
instead of being kind or even sincere
She ignored and ignore but it wasn't no use
People just kept up with their emotional abuse

Yes she was sick, and her health was fading away
Yes she knew it was only a matter of time until her coming day
she only wanted people to spend her life with at the end
She only hoped to make new friends

But the cruelness of people and the coldness of their hearts
added to this girls suffering and tore her apart
so when the day came and her life ended so fast
She wasn't even happy when her life passed.
