Abused (about my life as a little kid when I was five)

by Silver Knight   Feb 12, 2007

Mommy's at the bar,
Daddy's in jail.
When mommy comes home,
Her breath smells Stale.

Mommy's drunk,
She starts to yell.
Mommy isn't happy,
I can always tell.

I pick up Chris,
I grab Duane.
We run and hide,
I don't want them to feel more pain.

We find a creek,
Behind our home.
I let Duane play,
But tell him not to roam.

It's getting dark,
We have to go.
I hide them under the bed,
And tell them to stay low.

Mommy wakes up,
She comes after me.
I know what's coming,
But I stand as still as a tree.

Mommy gets mad,
I refuse to tell her where the boys hide.
Mommy hit me so hard,
That I cried.
