Let Me Go .

by BrokenREALiTy   Feb 12, 2007

When I pass you by at school,
I can't help but take a glance.
Startled to see a begging in your eyes,
Asking a second chance.

When I sit behind you in class,
I find myself staring.
Taking my face within my hands,
I try to stop myself from caring.

When it starts to rain outside,
I refrain from crying tears.
Have to remind myself,
That it's been nearly two years.

When I hear your name called,
My heart begins to race.
I run off, trying to get away,
'Cause I don't wanna see your face.

When I see you smiling,
I feel a tugging at my heart.
Questioning why I still wish for you,
After so many years apart.

When you look at me,
And our eyes meet.
I look the other way in fear,
Of admitting defeat.

When I listen to you asking me,
Pleading for another try.
I find myself tempted to say yes,
Or break down and cry.

But when you ask me for a second chance,
This is what you need to know:
Don't you ever forget,
That you're the one that let me go.
