There are so many who simply blame all their problems on You,
I can even admit that I have done it too.
But what people need to see, is that You didnt promise days without pain,
That would be like a summer without rain.
However, You did promise to give us strength and happiness along the way
We just need to keep our faith and continue to pray.

There are so many who feel down because they do not get what they want today,
Some feel down when things are taken away.
What people need to learn is to sit back and smile,
For You are thinking of something even better to give all the while.
There is more to our circumstances than the tears shed,
There is happiness beneath them, even in those moments we dread.

There are so many who do not believe,
All they want in life is for happiness to be achieved.
Little do they know, happiness is not found through adultery and drugs,
Nor is it found in the bottom of a beer mug.
Not only that, but You will help us through all,
No matter how hard we fall.
