Caged Desires (Collab)

by Jenni Marie   Feb 13, 2007

**Collaboration With Dave**

Dark desire sneaks through a crack
He can't escape with the voices back
Trapped inside his heart of rage
His hate breaks from its fragile cage

Searching the city core
Wandering around alone late at night
Desperation seeping from every pore
Wondering if his victim will choose flight or fight

The night grows longer
As does his dark lust
The voices stronger
A victim, a must

His movements suddenly become rapid
Eyes darting quickly in every direction
His eyes are so lifeless and vapid
Needing to add another to his collection

His breath slowing
All movements hush
His prey not knowing
So no need to rush

Looking for the most moral
To satisfy his psychotic cravings
Wondering how he himself is so immoral
And each time looking at the headstone's engravings

He'll send another to the grave
In his mind their soul he'll save
The dark angel spreads his wings
It's time, the death bell rings

Latching tightly onto the pretty girl
Feigning interest in what she has to say
As her hair he absent-mindedly twirls
Smiling as he thinks how this'll be her last day

Power surges through his soul
Now the only time he's in control
With her life he begins to play
She's unaware it's her final day

Starting to visualize her death in his mind
A cold and cruel smile playing upon his lips
His arms around her he entwined
She struggled but couldn't release his grip

Around her slender neck his hands tightened
Hissing "Hush my child, don't be frightened"
As her life light dimmed within her eyes
He drew perverse pleasure from her muffled cries

Her life, to him, just didn't matter
To him she was just another wh0re
Didn't matter if her family's world shattered
She was bad in essence and to the very core

So confused his twisted mind
He thought they'd understand
When they come upon the grizzly find
And recognize his servitude to man

He doesn't think that what he does is wrong
Thinks the thoughts in his mind are natural, not insane
He just doesn't believe that in the world some belong
And that's why so many women, he has slain

Murderous desire now tucked away
Voices silent, not a word to say
But still inside his heart of rage
Hatred shakes its fragile cage.

*I had fun writing this!*
