Drops Of Fire

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Feb 13, 2007

As a single flute plays
Its solemn song,
A single bird cries,
And sings right along,
The clouds all part,
And a single star glows,
As the red smoke fades,
The darkness grows,
The moon shines high,
And the lamps shine low,
The grass sparkles
Against the freshly fallen snow,
As the mood lightens,
The rain begins to fall,
Softly drenching the world,
Humming its call,
Drops of fire embellish
The world’s crucial end,
But a single song plays,
And I worship a friend,
One who sings with the bird
And shines with the stars,
One who hums with the rain,
Never forgets who we are,
The single friend
Who makes life worthwhile,
While we drown in drops of fire,
They bring about a smile.
