Realization

by LockedInEternity   Feb 14, 2007

It's great when you're dreaming.
You don't know a thing.
But when you wake up,
there's an awfully loud ring.

It's a chill of a feeling,
right down to the bone.
To finally realize,
that you're all alone.

To realize that people,
you thought you could trust.
Would turn just like that,
with no guilt left to bust.

And then one fine day,
when you finally see.
That nothing was what,
it was pictured to be.

You slowly start to realize,
that everything seems wrong.
With everyone around you,
it's like you don't belong.

The past and all your childhood,
you left with all your dreams.
And then you start to realize,
not everything is, as it seems.

The friends you thought you had,
turned out to be a lie.
The tougher times you need them,
they'd leave you there to cry.

The life that you were living,
turned out to be deceit.
It's like the bad times in your life,
were all put on repeat.

It's hard when you stop dreaming,
and realize your mistake.
The life you lived was nothing,
nothing but a fake.

Slowly coming to your senses,
the older that you come to be.
Soon the world will rid of you,
and everyone's too blind to see.

Realize, in this heartache world,
you're alone and no one seems to mind.
Open your eyes and look around.
Realize how you were so blind.
