Heaven's surprise

Here in a minute, gone in a flash
appearing just as quick in heaven's mash

bright and shiny, this could only be one place
to wards the gate i see many a familiar face

people whom i touched while on earth's trials and tribulations
come to welcome me in heaven's gates with many congratulations

some i helped with a few words, others with a lifetime of service
as i see them all and hear their words i somehow feel nervous

how could i have helped so many, i am but one man
but as many will say, i did just what many a man can

but i did it willingly, no reward expected to fill my coffers
for up in heaven, the gifts i get are by many offers

i weep uncontrollably, my happiness cannot be equaled
but as soon as the meetings begin a mighty man is signaled

you had your sins paid for, enter heaven with no fetters, peter states
for in heaven is no suffering, no devil or sin can reach through these gates
