True Feelings

by Dave   Feb 14, 2007

I sit here trying to think of things
To tell you how I feel,
But words doth fail me yet again
Can all of this be real?

I want to say how much I care
With kisses, hugs and smiles
Although the distance put between us
Carries on for miles.

Carries on for many miles,
Across the land and sea,
Of anyone for you to choose
I'm glad that you picked me.

The chats we have, the "lol"
The constant give and take,
To times we spend just sitting there
Like awkward silence on a date.

But yet I sit here thinking,
About myself, my life,
And wonder what you'd say to me
When asked to be my wife.

Its not an "adverse" thought, my dear,
Just bouncing things around,
I wonder if your feet will be
A-running at that sound.

I know, I know, we've said before
That we are both the same,
From things we say and things we do
To even take the blame.

That feeling it has come again
Much stronger than before,
It seems like now that all I want's
To see you walk in thru the door.

I've given you a copy of
This poem up to here,
But I have more I'd like to say
Much more for you to hear.

So listen, please, that I may tell you,
Thoughts in this old head
I feel we are compatible
And more than just in bed. ;)

The birds do chirp and breeze doth blow
The sky is overcast.
Yet that can not describe the feelings
Flowing through my heart my soul,
I Love You !

    Thank you Tracy,
Without belittling what Jamie said, it means a great deal coming from someone of your "poetic stature".
    Kind Regards,
    Dave.

Thank you very much for words of praise Jaime. Isn't it amazing what can be produced when someone finds a significant other. Someone who makes you feel like shouting out so the whole world can hear or you're gunna burst.
I wish you good luck in your future too Jaime.
