Change

by Nyx   Feb 14, 2007

The full moon rises-
The change starts
Long dark hair growing coarse
And spreading everywhere
Emerald eyes narrowing-
Glowing like the moon
Hands to claws
Blunt teeth to fangs
Ears to furry triangles atop my head
Face narrows and a snout grows
Bones shift and creak-
Getting ready for a new shape
Tail- sprouts and grows
Fur covers my skin
Ears swirl to catch the faintest sound
Eyes narrow and alert-
Glinting with hidden intelligence
Paws with deadly claws
Fangs hidden in the mouth-
Sharp and dangerous
Tail swishing back and forth playfully
I stood there tall and proud
Before slipping into the forest
Howling to the moon-
A proud child of the night
