My Poem To You

From the very moment we met,
I just knew you'd be a friend I'd never forget,

You were always there,
Through the good times and bad,
Always there to hold my hand,

I sit and think about the memories we share,
Memories that will always be there,

But sadly it's time to say goodbye,
And all I want to do is cry,

I can't believe it's been three years,
Now it's one less person to dry my tears,

Finally you leave to go back home,
It's what you want, I've always known,

Although we'll probably never meet again,
You'll always be a part of me,
My best friend.
