Static Radio

by Jenni   Feb 14, 2007

I just felt the weight of the world fall,
My heart is heavy, I feel so small.
I am unwanted here in this place,
I cannot hide the tears on my face.
The radio is out of tune.
The static can't bring me back to you.

This beat up car with no radio,
tells me all of the ways I could go.
The silence makes me want to cry,
to let out everything inside.

As I look up into the night sky,
The static in my ears is high.
No reception in my car or me.
I thought my emotions were plain to see.
This heart of mine begins to shatter,
and you still ask, "What's the matter?"

This car has no working radio
and outside it's beginning to snow.
In the car, it's me only,
February can be so lonely.

Static radio, can't you see?
This isn't where I want to be.
I want to turn back the clocks
So you can undo this tight lock.
There's nothing left for me to do,
you can't connect two and two.

The radio is not broken,
not afer all the words spoken.
My heart can tell me what to do,
I'm a static radio without you.

-
it's almost like a sequel to Radio Talk, except really depressing & about Valentine's day & how much it sucks to find out that the one guy you like is dating someone.
