Girls look forward to it
Most boys dread it
It's Love's Holiday
Sometimes I wish it was here to stay

Every Valentine's Day
I have one special friend
Who shares more with me
Than I dare with him

I wish it was here to stay
So that maybe one day
I can share more with him
Then maybe the light wouldn't be so dim

But it only lasts a day
It never stays
