My dad lives in the sky

Dad, what's it like
to live in the sky?
and when i feel that rain on me...
is that when you cry?
did you watch me grow up
and become who i am?
are you proud of your daughter
and where in life i stand?
do you think that i grew up
into something great?
or am i what mom says,
A teenage mistake?
did you used to watch
when i always went to school
playing pranks on the teachers
and breaking all the rules?
or what about the time
when my friend asked me why
i didn't have a dad
and i said "he lives in the sky"
Dad do you think
that i look just like you?
uncle Toddie says yes
and that i act like you too.
he said that you were watching
the day i almost died.
and that you argued with God,
and that why I'm alive.
Dad, i want to say sorry
about some of the things i said
i was so much younger...
so easily mislead.
I said that i hated you
because you left us all so fast
and that even if you stayed
you would be a terrible dad.
I also want to apologize
because i blamed you
for leaving me with mom
and that i hate her too.
Dad, have you herd that,
i want to be a lawyer?
i know that you wanted me
to have a good future.
Dad, i cant wait to see you
sometime when i die
I hope it's fun up there
