Seasons Have Their Reasons

by Turtle   Feb 15, 2007

Breezes smell of waning freezes
Green buds reflect in water clean
Showers give birth to the flowers

Muddle in the last clean puddle
Things don't last the baby bird sings

Reach for the sun upon the beach
Breaking waves and pictures taking
One doesn't wish to end the fun

Leaves change colour as the sun heaves
Too bad the good times leave so soon

Twirling with whirling winds swirling
Reds and browns make the finest beds
Lost in play without care for cost

Squalls hailing to their final call
Say goodbye to colour's display

Crisper than the coldest whisper
Found together we're snow bank bound
Where we lay beneath night to share

Make a snowman for old time's sake
Snow leaves seeing the coming glow

Very clever use of imagery in this. It fluently guided the reader through the seasons. I liked the play of words in the title too. Thanks for sharing.
