Fire

by Haylee   Feb 15, 2007

The laughing crackle of the burning takes me away.
As I travel past the combustion of,
Broken Souls,
Mindless gestures,
And Uncertain Thinking.
The smell of blazed lumber dances around me as I look into a world unknown.
The crimson and ginger colors suffocate me as I try to scream to him.
The real world comes back to me.
As I feel my burning feet.
My muscles sore,
My self ablaze,
My heart broken.
The dirt is hot,
The air is shut out
As a large figure lands on me.
I am taken into this blaze.
My lungs tighten,
My heart stops,
My mind races.
All I can hear is the laughing crackle of the burning
And the heaves of my former love beside me.
