I'll never let her go

by Torran Compala   Apr 5, 2004

I sit across the room
And stare at her beautiful face
But I don't need to look
Her memories can't be erased
All our friends around the room
But they're all just a blur
I wonder in awe at her beauty
I wish so much I could be with her
To sit with her would be heaven
To hold her would be bliss
And words cannot describe
What I'd do for just one kiss
Her eyes catch mine softly
A smile creeps on her lips
She motions to me with her hand
And asks me to come sit
My body abandons all sense
As I float across the room
I sit down shyly with her
Our moment will come soon
She tells me that she's cold
And I wrap her in my arms
It feels so good, so right
To keep this girl from harm
Our eyes are lost in each other
There's nothing else to say
I want to tell her I love her
I've been waiting for this day
We lean a little closer
And gently close our eyes
The kiss comes at last
And it feels like I can fly
We pull back from each other
And lean in for one more
Grins across our faces
I've never felt this way before
She asks if we can leave
She wants us to be alone
Hand in hand we stand up
Hand in hand I walk her home...
We stand upon her porch
I love her now, I know
We'll kiss and hug goodbye
...But I'll never let her go
