Sitting Here

by Sara O   Feb 16, 2007

I'm sitting here
Wishing you were near
All alone, in the night
Wanting you to hold me tight

I cant stop thinking of you
You're my dream, all night through
And all through the day
To you my mind will stray

You're the whisper I hear before I sleep
A numbing lullaby I cannot keep
You're the wind that caresses my skin
Touching me, where no one has ever been

You're the scent that lingers on my clothes
The sweet smell of a well worn rose
You're the sunrise Ive never seen
The colors mixing to obscene

I'm sitting here all alone
Unmoving, Naked to the bone
Thinking of your touch
That I miss so much

You were my light in all of this darkness
The only escape that exists
But you are not mine to embrace
Thats why I'm alone in this place

You are my light, but you also pull me down.
In a darkness so appalling, Ill surely drown.
