Turning back the hands of time,
As I search for that open door,
I pray for you to stay mine,
I cant handle heartbreaks anymore.
So I wonder aimlessly into the darkness,
With no faith to call my own,
I think of all my loneliness,
As I sit close to the phone.
Then I see the light ahead,
And sparkles fill my eyes,
As I feel my heartbeat in my head,
I know for sure that your feelings were never lies.
When your there by me,
And holding my hand,
I thank the Lord for this happening between you and me,
And thank him for giving me a great man.
So as I sit here today,
I think of only you,
Keep me feeling that special way,
Even after the morning dew.
