Under the covers we hide from it all
shivering with an uncontrollable feeling
with the weight of the world on our shoulders
we wish to stay tightly wrapped
beneath the warmth of our comfort zone
but life forces us out,
pushing us into an atmosphere of violence and hate
making our hearts and minds fill up with negative images
turning normal people into weapons
evil people who murder and cheat
breaking morals, ending once joyful lives
driving us crazy, totally insane
crushing our spirits taking apart our dreams, inspirations
causing us to believe that life is to cruel to live
pushing away any true feelings of happiness
under the covers we try and hide from it all
but pain over comes us
we can never escape this world
