Wishing Apon A Star

Why do ppl wish apon a star?
i have tried and my wish was for a guy at my school to like me.
but my wish never came true.
he likes another girl and is now going out with her.
and i am stuck alone.
i loved him one day and the day after that.
and still when i see him even though he is dating another girl i still love him and will never forget him.
so the next night i looked at the stars i wished with all my soul that he would love me one day and realize how much i love him and the next day he told me i love you.
so never doubt about wishing apon a star!
