Oneself

by bon   Feb 18, 2007

With all the lessons learned and lessons forgot.

We remember who we are and of course what were not.

And if one day we should lie about ourselves,

Then let us live as if we we're in hell.

Needless to say, a lie is cruel

And is about as useless as a battle or duel

Once one has lied, its living a false life,

False joy, false happ(y)ness, even false strife.

Theres no real outcome, or turning of events,

But just what has happened, remained, and went.

So be true to oneself, that's all I ask

No one needs to hide under a mask.

No one needs to lie about who they are or how they feel.

Let it all be shown, let it all be real.
