Backstabber

by mary   Feb 18, 2007

The night you came to my door
i ran and opened it
you were there at my feet
i bent down and lifted your face
your eyes were so cold
they drew me in
i was drowning , gasping for breath
i saw you standing by the waters edge
you were just standing there watching
i called your name, but you were waiting
you were waiting to see me disappear
under the cold waters surface
i thought you loved me
you held me every night
whispering that you loved me
so this what i deserved after trusting you
your torment of hate
