Obsession With Skinny//

by ~Not~Quite~There~   Feb 18, 2007

So you spit and choke,
Force it up your throat
“A moment on the lips
A lifetime on the hips”
You memorized that verse
Overwhelmed by your curse
If you/re fat you/ll never win
To succeed you/ve got to be thin
How can someone love that?
Look at it, all that fat.
No matter how much you tear
It will always be there
The mirror lies, everyone lies
They don/t want to see your demise
But you/re too sick to see how much they care
The fat, it/s just too much to bare
Starve yourself, right to the bone
Then maybe they/ll leave you alone.
The names they scream in your head
At least you/ll be skinny when you/re dead
The names they resound, without release
FAT, CHUBBY, PORKY, OBESE.
