Memories

Memories are part of us that never goes away.
A saying, scenes, or past that won't be forsaken.
Dreams that we thought about into the day.
And the times we felt our hearts breaking.

Memories are a part of our hearts that glow.
The things we share and want to express.
They're the things we can't ever let go.
And we can't think of them any more or less.

Memories make us cry over good and bad.
We always wonder why they happened so fast.
Thoughts why you lost your only dad.
And the first love you knew would last.

A memory is what makes us who we are.
They brighten our hearts with light.
But they can make us want to run far.
And your memories will never hide.

    Nice job capturing the idea of memories.

    the only problems i found with it are your tenses in the first stanza, and i think you may need to insert a word.

    "Thoughts why you lost your only dad."
    Thoughts OF why you lost your only dad.

    Hope I'm not sounding harsh, but it seemed like the comments you wanted are those who tell you how to better the poem. i'm just doing what was asked.

    I really liked the topic you wrote about! I thought it was very good. I loved your use of words. The rhyming was a little off, but it didn't really bother me. The flow was really good. I really liked the description you used they painted a picture. You did a lovely job!
