Chariot Ride!

Chariot Ride!!

We set out from our home
My son at my side.
A King's life is hard
But our duties are clear
A thousand men at my side
We were bound to a brotherhood of fate.
Our sails catching the wind
Soon our swords will meet there steel.
Our ships reach the shores
The enemy greats us with flame
Sword wet with blood
They begin to run with shame.
Fearless they may have been
Only a few stand now
They are making there finale stand.
We will not leave these lands
We are here to destroy all.
They fought tooth and nail
A fight I've never fought before.
As we gain the upper hand
Our battle cry rage's on.
I watch my son as he fights
Taking life to protect his lands.
He makes his father proud
He raises his sword in victory
But hasn't taken life from all
And falls mortally wounded.
I kneel at my son's side
I give him his sword.
I pray to the ancient gods
Please return my son to me
Please give him back his breath
So he can bury me.
Looking back to my son
He is no longer with me.
Take the chariot my son
To the hall were your brothers wait.
You've made me so proud today
I will see you again some day.
