Fool

I stare at him
He looks back smiling
I feel something
But I don't know what

Its deep down in me
Its eating me inside
Its not enduring

I tell him I love him
He says I'm just a fool

This is the first time he's ever said it
Is he moving on?
Or is he still in love?

I'm not sure how to handle this pain
The pain I feel him ache
I wish I could make it go away

The sudden brisk of sorrow fills in
He doesn't want sympathy
He wants something
But I don't know what

I just know for the time being
I must let him go

I shall wait to see if he comes back
And if he does
I'll hold him until he rests his eyes shut
