I can't promise miracles
I can't make it go away
I can't change the past or present
And I can't pretend it's all ok

But I can be your comfort
I can be your light
I can be your words of wisdom
And I can help you fight

I can't be there with you
I can't hold you close
I can't be there to wipe your eyes
When you need it the most

But I can remind you I love you
I can always be here
I can promise another way out
But it could take 2 years

I know I live far away
I know there's not much I can do
I know I really can't do much else
Except be a friend to you

I know this poem won't make it stop
I know my words aren't great
But I hope they can be at least one good thing
In a world you've come to hate.
