Faded Love

by gabriel   Feb 19, 2007

Into the darkness, oh so grim
Filled up with silence to the brim
Inhaling echos of each breath
Exhaling reasons of his death
He quietly sits there watching
Broken, blood-shot eyes just longing
To feel her fingers on his face
And save him from this lonely place

She's made up of an innocence
The trait of every virgin's essence
Her smile can calm his bitterness
Her whispers filled with tenderness

He drowns in depression all day
But Time he simply cannot say
To leave him in this darkened cell
Is a fate that's worse than hell
Her image etched in his mind
Mild relief of his soul in bind
Desire just keeps him living
Deceit is the source of yearning

The sheer truth in reality
Her eyes she do not want to see
An anger that she cannot bear
A pain concealed within her lair

Once she loved him like a friend
A love that he could understand
But he had taken a wrong path
When desire had its last laugh
His love like the desert parched
Craving for the rain so much
Her compassionate eyes finally saw
They could never be friends anymore

Things between them became so sour
Like rancid milk by every hour
Eventually things just could not
Live back the past they had forgot

He misses her, he really do
Thinking of her just makes him blue
I know all of this. Why? You say?
Cause she was my love
That had faded away
