I saw him today
I didnt say anything to him
I was afraid at first
He asked me how I was
I told him never better
I lied
I asked if he was holding on
He said yes
His eyes told the lie
He has a new girlfriend now
Shes prettier than me
Theyre happier together
Hes doing well in school
My grades are dropping
His family is doing great
I do reminisce still
About all the times we shared
How we used to laugh together
Walk together, hug each other
Kiss each other
He looked at me today
And said something that shocked me
I love you still was all that he said
I looked at him and said oh
I saw a tear run down his face and
He turned his back and walked away
And quietly
I said to no one but the wind
I still love you too
Tears dripped down my cheek
And it began to ran
Its just hard...to say goodbye.
