Couldn't Work Things Out

by Some Random Human   Feb 19, 2007

The pressure was too great,
I couldn't take this fate,
I had to get away,
it had to end today,
the pressures of society,
they won't accept variety,
everything has to be the same,
I must say goodbye to you,
because my time for life is through,
I've got to find my own escape,
I've got to find my own shape,
I can't conform to their ways,
won't be a part of this craze,
but I just can't handle all this shame,

So I'll see you on the other side,
I'll see you when you have died,
because my life is ending now,
I'll see you when your time is through,
I'll be there waiting for you,
I'm sorry that I couldn't work it out,

The way that I was living,
taking but not giving,
just didn't seem to be,
what you wanted from me,
I never meant to cause such pain,
but I can't control my brain,
nor this heartache that I have bestowed,
so forgive me if I seem rude,
but I had to end this feud,
I couldn't bare to see you in tears,
I couldn't seem to face my own fears,
I never wanted this for anyone,
this ending that I brought when I had to run,
but I couldn't bear my own load,

So I'll see you on the other side,
I'll see you when you have died,
because my life is ending now,
I'll see you when your time is through,
I'll be there waiting for you,
I'm sorry that I couldn't work things out...
