Manners.

by ALEX   Feb 19, 2007

Can you see past my eyes?
They're dark, to keep you out.
To keep my secrets hidden.
When emotions nearly shout.

Shouting for me to leave now.
There's just no place to hide.
Pretty please, just leave me be.
Now I know, I should have lied.

Lied to spare your feelings,
Though you won't consider mine.
My own reflection mocks me,
And doubt engulfs my mind.

Mind your manners,
You tell me to bite my tongue.
I've very sorry, but can't you see?
My opinions are very young.

Too young to be considered...
I'll make my last demand.
For you to leave my secrets be,
And please, release my hand.

Very nicely done. You had a great rhythem going on. And the way you jumped from on stanza to the next was smooth. Keep up the great work!
