When One Heart Becomes Two

What was once a beautiful, enduring love
Is now only ashes fluttering in the breeze
Saying goodbye to what used to be so true
Taking back the golden treasured keys

She knows she 's messed up repeatedly
Doesn't even know why she does what she does
Cheating, lying, yelling, screaming, & hiding
That's how she acted; how she always was

But he'd always take her back again
He adored her with all of his heart
Let her walk all over him, every single day
Didn't want anything to rip them apart

She truthfully did love him very much
She's just a f-ck up, or a fake
So when one heart becomes two
She knows it's cos of her mistakes

    Nice idea. Yet, some spelling threw me off. Cos makes your poem just seem slang. Because is a clean way to make it still as effective. I really liked the idea of the poem. Most of the time people always blame the other for the break up or what not. Loved your title. Very creative. I had a double-take when I first read it because you're used to seeing When Two Heart Become One. It was bittersweet.

    Hmm. the flow was really broken and i didnt get the last verse but i was able to feel the emotion, i thought you were writing this for me!! thats how much i can relate. thanks for sharing hun.
