Pointless

by David   Feb 20, 2007

When does attraction become more...?
Standing at my locker talking to you about things that don't really matter
I take a glance at you and hold it close
These feelings tied up like figure-eights and bowline knots
That I am not supposed to be feeling

Now I'm sitting in my room
Staring at the ceiling wondering
What you would do if you knew
What I'm feeling
Would our pointless conversations end?

I've always thought you were different
That you were special, a sparkling star in a black sky
Still I can't get over that I never expected to feel this way
Wishing I could hide the heart on my sleeve, shoulder and shoe lace
As you turn and smile over your shoulder.
