Something No One Else Has

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Feb 20, 2007

Us, you and me,
We have something special,
Something no one else
In the whole world has.
We have a special bond,
A feeling between us,
Something that keeps us
Loving each other.
So many horrid things
That could rip us apart,
Age, religion,
Proximity.
But age-wise, there's
Only a year,
Our religions are different,
But we can work it out,
The fact that we live so far away,
Well, we've lived so far, haven't we?
We have a bond no one else has,
We have a "thing" no one can take,
The ability to talk for hours on end,
The love between us that we share.
Somehow, we find a way
To see the best in each other.
Even when we're being modest,
Our silent disapprovals are dismissed,
We only talk of our love.
Sure, religion comes up,
Age and proximity too,
But love prevails over all.
Even over death.
Not even leaving this world
Could take us away from each other,
We listed off anything
That could happen to us,
And after every phrase,
"I'd still love you."
We attempted to hang up,
To go to sleep,
But how can one fall asleep,
Fade into unconsciousness,
When the one they love is
Right there?
So we stayed,
Talking,
Loving,
We never stopped,
Because we were running on love.
We had something that
Could beat everything,
Something with the potential
To outlast time and hate,
Something with the potential
To live through everything.
We have something no one else has,
Something called our love,
The love between the two of us,
The love that makes us who we are,
The love that makes us one.
