Leaving you is hard to do

His poem is for a guy i have liked for a year and a half, and I'm finally letting go of him. I've held on to him soo tight for too long, and i feel like i cant go anywhere unless hes out of my life. i moving on without him, and its one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. part of me will always love him, but i have to let go, for me. i hope you like it;

you've always been there,
training wheels,
handles to hold on,
I'm not giving up,
I'm letting go,
of this dream I've
held for too long.

when all else failed,
you were there,
you fixed my broken heart,
again and again
i went back to you,
but its tearing me apart.

its gonna hurt,
i know it will,
but over time ill heel,
i need to move on
and find new love,
true love that is real.

i dont need you,
training wheels off,
i finally see it, so,
for once in my life
i think its time,
to break free and let go.

I'm all alone,
my safety's gone,
now everythings on me,
but its for the best,
ill do great,
you just wait and see.
