In the Other Side

by Luis   Feb 21, 2007

Off from the pain on my skin
And awareness of sin
The things I've sang in the past
Trying to make my last breath last

The photographs and memories i held on too
To distract me from the truth
But the fact of the matter is, we all die
Hoping that there is an afterlife.

I won't let you go
Not until i know
That there is another side
Where we die into life.

I'll know
Once I go
I'll pass the news on
When I'm gone.

Your eyes speaking in tears
As if it was something to fear
Your beautiful lips mumbling words
Projecting out like harmless thorns

I see a brighter light
Perhaps the place you will meet me by
I'll hold your hand till I'm shut
And feel your heartbeat till I'm cut.

I'll know
When I go
I'll pass the news on
When I'm gone.

Off I go
Beyond boundaries of the unknown
I promise to meet you by
In the other side.
