Entrapped within a horrific nightmare
Unaware of when his end will come for him
Lost unto this night, he slowly loses all sight
Never to awaken to his once happy life
For he is lost and withered in this so called dream
Forever searching for something he lost long ago
Something hes afraid, he will never see again
A soul that is his own and darkened by this night
That skimmers through the dark searching for a light
A light that may one day lead it back to him
And find what it once sought to see
But never could for it was always to afraid
Afraid of what it might find lying in the blue
The dark shadowed blue of its own eyes
Afaid to look upon the memories of his past
Fearful of a past he's yet to have again
A past he's reliving in this nightmare of tonight
This nightmare he will never escape
His past and times of pain poured out
Poured out through his own hurt eyes
His memories flowing through his broken mind
Never knowing when this nightmares end may come
Or if there even is an end in all of this pain
Unknowingly searching for a beautiful light
A light that may not even exist but in his mind
