Stupid Mistake

It's true I have a lot of regrets
Done things I wish I could erase
Many things I wish I'd done differently
Many horrid things that wont get any praise.

However there's one thing that stands out
That's falling for you my dear
It's true I have yet to move on
Many times I've wiped away a tear.

Other senseless things I've done
Really do not compare to this
I wonder how I can hate you so
When deep down it's you I still miss.

Each and every day I wake up
With a beaming smile upon my face
Then harsh reality slowly sets in and
I remember in your life I now have no place.

There's not much I have to be proud of
But I thought your love was real, not fake
Now I'm slowly starting to comprehend
That you my sweet, are my most stupid mistake.
