Sighs&Lies, Cuts&Kisses, Hugs&Drugs [Senses Failing]

by fearose   Feb 23, 2007

Senses failing in bitter timing
And gold-plated life stopped rhyming
Frauds and fakes roam the streets
Ruinging my heart's kind beats

I find myself blind and sore
With no sight to settle the score
And I'm too blinded to see the truth
Without this, I've destroyed my youth

Next goes my sense of taste
All the food now goes to waste
Your flavor is gone, I'm missing it so
Please don't leave me, don't go

My hearing blows next in line
And I'm thinking this is God's sign
Telling me without his strong words
And singing without sorrowful birds

My touch has left me high and dry
And now I have to say goodbye
Because memories are pressing in
And my soul has grown so thin

Finally, my last sense voice is lost
And swallowing tastes bitter frost
My world is leaving me on my own
And I can't even speak a tone

My so-called life has gone out the door
And I'm findin my soul needs more
Then just this world can bring to me
So release my body to be free
