This Is a Story of a Boy

I tried to to fix his broken heart,
With bandages and strings,
To show him happiness for a start,
And to get his heart to sing

I tried to stop the running tears,
That stream down his face,
He has many newfound fears,
Which is what fills that empty space

His hands tremble,
His body shakes,
His world slowly crumbles,
As a new one slowly wakes

All I want,
Is to help him breathe again,
To make him smile,
To just be a good friend

He used to love,
He used to care,
But she took it all,
Which was not fair

He did not know,
She did not care,
He loved her so,
But she did not dare

Now she ' s left him with a broken heart,
He ' s confused, and she ' s gone,
It wasn ' t Cupids arrow, but a dart,
It ' s what keeps him from moving on
