Escape

by Leah   Feb 24, 2007

Tears spilling down her face
Water over-filling the sink
He walks around,
at a steady pace,
Wondering what he's
supposed to think.

Softly knocking on the door,
Making sure his girl's okay.
He hates when this happens
He didn't want it to end up this way.

Doubt fills her mind
He's done it before
She needs to find
What she ever saw in him.

He slides down the wall,
His hands clutching his head
Now he doesn't feel so tall
Rather, he feels he should be dead.

He doesn't know why he hurts her
When he's done it so many times before
He doesn't know why he does it
He doesn't want to anymore.

He treats her like dirt,
But he loves her like sand
He wishes she could forgive him
And just hold his hand.

She opens the window,
To a place she really hates
She pushes through, her tiny shape
She doesn't care what happens,
as long as she escapes.

She's put up with him for way to long,
He's never really been there,
Now, She needs to learn a different song
Where happiness is within her
