I drank way too much at a party one day
And for a while I had it all my way
But when back home in my car I drove
I lost control of the car and ran in a grove
Crashing into a young teen
No more then nineteen
A one-year-old baby in her arms
A darling smile has its charms
Not only my life did I take
But I made a bigger mistake
I killed one that didn’t deserve to die
Who didn’t even to her child say goodbye
Not too mention my best friend
Who was with me through the end
At that party that I drank
Before my head came to a blank
Everyone was with me all the way
I was popular and cool that day
But that friendship and popularity
Only lasted a few minutes sincerity
Because now I’m gone and dead
And so are the ones I killed who bled
Please tell the one whose life I taken
That I’m sorry and was mistaken
Tell the baby that I’m sorry
That she’ll never have a mommy
And I’m sorry that I hurt her
More then she can even infer
Tell my best friend I’m sorry
That I didn’t listen and agree
When she told me while I was still alive
Not to go and drink and drive
I didn’t realize this could occur
And I’m sorry I’m a murderer
