Hurt

Hurt and alone
confused and heartbroken
and yet I show no truth
I hide behind the same old smile

trying to pretend
even though my broken heart
feels as if it will never mend
I've tried so hard to forget

every minute spent
but it seems the more I try
the harder it begins to get
